Collection of Stephen Thompson, including photos from author, his father Frank Thompson, Tom Miller, Jack Anderson and others. Steam Locomotive images from the 1930's through the late 50's, with 1st generation Diesel's and streamliners as well.  Tacoma, Washington is the center of the collection, with images from  Western Washington, Portland Oregon, and a few from Idaho and Montana.  Most are from the original negatives and transparencies.  B&W images are mostly from 4"x5" and other large formats down to 2 /14" square.  The color shots are largely from 35mm slides.

This is a database of sleepers and lounges (and a few other cars) that were built by all car builders in the standard steel and lightweight eras that were operated by Pullman. It does not contain wood cars, coaches, diners, et al - that were built by, but not owned and/or operated by Pullman.

Over 400 photos of GN subjects and about 40 NP, most never published, including motive power shots, aerials, depots and more.  Although most locations are listed "Vancouver, BC", many were actually taken in Seattle or other locations - for example most of the Aug 14, 1949 photos are at Interbay yard.
